In this latest release directed, produced and starring himself Minja plays a poor boy from the village who has come to the city to seek better living.
The movie will feature him leaving the bus terminal and making his way to his brother’s house where he will be staying while looking for a job in the big city. The audiences will be spared nothing in this stunningly real depiction of life as they will be able to see each and everything that the character will be doing.
“It’s because we will edit nothing that’s why the first part of the movie will consist of the journey from the Ubungo bus terminal to Buguruni where the main character’s brother lives” says writer director producer and lead actor Minja.
There will be extensive shots of the main character sitting inside a daladala and staring outside the window at the passing scenery while loud, completely unrelated songs will be playing.
“Some of the greatest hits from stars such as Beyonce and Rihanna will feature while we watch the character ride the bus,” says Minja who is also in charge of sound.
The pop songs will be interspaced with the occasional random suspense score that will have completely nothing to do with what’s going on.
“Basically it’s just to hint at things to come. There will be plenty of action in part two so we give the audience a taste of this through the music,” says Minja who is also in charge of editing.
The film will be available at all retail points.
